Honors

Whether on the court, on the field or in the classroom, Puma student-athletes compete to win. In the fall 2020 semester, 40 Puma student-athletes have taken academics to the next level as part of the PVCC Honors Program, 25 freshmen and 15 returning sophomores.

PVCC’s robust Honors Program offers promising students challenging, innovative, and enriching learning opportunities within a community comprised of Honors advisors, faculty mentors and Honors students. In order to qualify for the PVCC Honors Program, a student must have either graduated from a Maricopa County high school within the last year with at least a 3.25 GPA, or completed at least 12 MCCCD credits with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA. Honors students are required to take at least one three credit or higher honors class each semester and maintain at least a 3.25 GPA.

We can not wait to see what our student-athletes will do in competition this spring but in the meantime, we know they will excel in their academics.
